How to Get Brand Deals on Instagram in India (Even Under 10K Followers)

Team SMMBolt · Updated 8 August 2026 · 8 min read

Indian brands spend a growing share of their marketing budgets on creators, and a lot of that goes to nano and micro creators. You don't need a million followers. You need to look like a safe bet.

What brands check (in this order)

  1. Follower count and audience location
  2. Average reel views
  3. Engagement rate
  4. Story views
  5. Content quality and brand fit

Rough follower tiers

Build a simple media kit

One page with: your niche, follower count, audience location split, average reel views, story views, 3 best-performing posts, past collaborations, rates and contact.

Pitch like a professional

  • Find the marketing person on LinkedIn or the brand's collab email.
  • Send a short email: who you are, why you fit, one specific idea.
  • Attach your media kit.
  • Follow up once after a week.
